Ceridwen’s Cauldron - Blooming July 13th
Rev. Dr. Pamela has studied and engaged with Celtic Mythology since college. A myth that caught he attention early on was that of Ceridwen. Ceridwen is the Goddess of Transformation! Her story goes like this:
Ceridwen wanted her son to be wise. She thus decided to create a brew in her cauldron that would magically instill inspiration and wisdom in him, but it would take a whole year to make! She employed a young man, Gwoin, to help her stir it when she slept. One day three drops leaped from the cauldron and landed on Gwoin’s hand. He instinctively put his hand in his mouth and drank the drops—rendering the rest of the brew inactive and instilling him with the wisdom intended for Ceridwen’s son. He did not do this on purpose, but knew that Ceridwen would be angry. So he ran! What unfolds is a shapeshifting journey which results in Ceridwen consuming Gwoin and birthing him as the great poet Taliesin! This myth is one of plant medicine, inner knowing, and deep transformation…and it is one you can enter intentionally.
Utilizing a mixture of herbs and entheogens, Rev. Dr. Pamela has worked closely with certified herbalists, doctors and chemists to bring this MYTH to LIFE. Including an in-person plant medicine ceremony at the Sanctuary, self-directed microdosing for a month (to a year)—complete with a workbook as a guide, participants have the opportunity to transform all the way down to their very core!
